Andaz 5Th Avenue, By Hyatt Hotel New York

We recently stayed at this luxurious hotel and had a fantastic experience. The location is perfect, right in the heart of mid-town. We loved being right across the NY public library, as it was so convenient to explore the city. The staff here were exceptional, always kind and polite, and willing to help with any request. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with modern amenities like a flat-screen TV and a well-stocked mini-bar. The service was excellent, with room service and wake-up service available. The hotel also had great facilities, including a fitness studio and a restaurant where we enjoyed a delicious breakfast.

The room was large, modern, and clean, with a great view. The hotel's location was convenient, with easy access to Bryant Park and attractions like Times Square and Broadway shows. The service was excellent, with complimentary water and helpful staff. The Andaz Suite was perfect for families with kids, offering a separate space and comfortable sofa bed. the experience exceeded expectations and made us want to return.

no reception. few employees at the front desk hardly raise their eyes from their screens when you arrive; no concierge service when you arrive; no one accompanies you to your room or shows you the common areas of the hotel. you have to explore the hotel on your own; no reception; you don't need any information or reservations; you really have to fend for yourself. little information you were asked for was wrong, spacious room without any storage; you don't know where to put your clothes; dark breakfast room. in the basement; with very little light;. not pleasant in summer, too greasy kitchen, badly composed plates; andaz hotel in new york has nothing to do with the one in tokyo where we stayed in 2018;

Bad experience. We had booked 2 nights with the suite with TERRACE. On arrival, we were informed that they had given the suite to someone else... It's no good at all. We are offered a room with a balcony trying to tell us that it is almost the same. We ask to see the room. Unacceptable. No view except on the building directly in front which is under renovation and several rubbish on the floors in the scaffolding. We cannot see to the sides unless we lean over the railing since the balcony is recessed into the building. I understand that it is not their fault but it is REALLY not the equivalent of a terrace overlooking 5th avenue. They don't offer us anything else. There are no other options, so we're taking it. I had to suggest they transfer us the next day because they didn't have the idea... They promised us champagne and he never came and we had to insist on it. They transferred us to the penthouse suite the next day for the second night. Beautiful terrace. The pictures on the website are not the reality though... Only 1 terrace with the view on the 5th, the others are on the side street. Even the suites with balcony are not worth it at all. The balconies are tiny and have no added value to the room. We didn't have the one with a view of the 5th either, but it was very nice. The staff apologized several times and we got a discount on the room but it was still ordinary for a hotel of this range. The manager Sarah was really nice but she came to apologize in person and I felt really sorry but I didn't feel the staff were as empathetic.

The location of this hotel is simply unbeatable. It is right in the center of everything, making it incredibly convenient to explore all that Manhattan has to offer. Plus, there are plenty of dining options within a stone's throw. Don't miss out on The Shop, where you can grab a delicious meal from fresh coffee to avocado on grilled bread with a spicy kick.

The staff can be a bit inattentive at times, which can be frustrating when you need answers or assistance.

The hotel is well located. We had a large room (719). The staff is very pleasant.

We stayed for 3 days and never managed to get the shower set up. The water temperature was either icy or hot with sudden and uncontrollable changes.

The location of the hotel is perfect, with a view of the public library and in the center of everything. The room is spacious and the bed is super comfy. The bathroom is stunning and the staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming. The breakfast, dinner, and in-room service are all excellent. The concept of the hotel, including the bar and the brunch at the Shop, adds to the overall experience.

I felt like I was inconveniencing the staff when I asked for coffee to be brought up to the room.

I had an incredible stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, right in the middle of Manhattan on 5th Avenue. I recently had the pleasure of staying at a boutique hotel in late August and early September. The rooms were not only spacious but also beautifully designed, providing a great atmosphere for my stay. The bathrooms were a standout feature, with their modern and attractive design. I must also mention the delicious breakfast that was served each morning, it was truly a highlight of my experience. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a fantastic stay. Despite a few minor drawbacks, I was thoroughly impressed and would definitely return in the future.
